poem: mary anne zammit

scent of orchids

Waves of colour on the canvas of my soul.

Slowly removing the pain painted by you.

Meanwhile, the skies remind me of what could have been.

Still I dream of Spring.

Of orchids on my breast as you reach to kiss me.

Tonight the Moon carries hope for us,

And for humanity.
