poem: mary anne zammit

one cycle

One day the Moon told me that,

what lies beyond lies below.

That sun, the sea and stars speak one language.

Like you and me.

Ignited in silence.

In love.

How many times have I spoken to the Moon about you?

And caressed the stars.

How many lines I have written for you?

My mind and my heart feels drawn to you

Because we remember each other.

We are one, one cycle.
