Poem: katalin pusztaszeri
IN-SCAPE
Trees..are not silent witnesses of our times
They are not stirring decorations, shaggy ornaments in a fading scene
They are not empty oxygen tanks, ancient callused surfaces where to a drunkard pees
They are not maimed marble statues that humans and engines can destroy and mutilate without a cause
They are not charred old manuscripts in a fireplace where family gathers
They are living organisms, never-resting respirators who feel and remember
We should respect and embrace green
From a poppy seed-like tiny crumbled Wolffia to the ghostly Aokigahara
If you shouldn’t …They’re going to haunt you and mercilessly fight back…
about the writer and photographer: katalin pusztaszeri
Katalin Pusztaszeri is an art professional and photographer living in Budapest, Hungary. She started taking photographs in 2013, as a part of her recovery from a spinal cord surgery. In the beginning, she used photography as neuro-feedback to alter her attention from pain and anxiety. She realized that by means of creation, she has been able to release all of the suppressed and latent feelings she felt were clogged in her body throughout the years. At this point, creating pictures has become an urgent and utmost need to convey her thoughts and ideas toward the outside world.
