poem: candice nobles

Zzzzzs

Sometime I just want to sleep

I want to wake on my own

At a time that is right

Uninterrupted

After a few days

The waterworks flow

I feel like I can take no more

I get really glum

Mad at the world

My day is fucked

I need a nap

I don’t feel like doing anything

I am tired and sad

like a baby that hasn’t had enough sleep

I whine and moan

Til I can get ten hours straight

Nothing else works

Caffeine and sativa can keep you going

But there’s no substitute for the zzzz’s
