poem: meliena decuypere

Tick-tock
Says my biological clock

Refrain
Says my brain

Let’s go
I hear in utero

Rewind
Asks my mind

Buy me
Yells a baby onesie

Too soon
Sounds a familiar tune

Strange, how my body
And my head
Don’t rhyme.

Meliena is a thirty-year old Belgian/American with her homebase in Boston, Mass. She currently works in hospitality and yearns for the time when she can go explore again with her dog and boyfriend.
