Centering myself in the world

My wanderings around the globe have only brought home closer to my heart. It has helped me understand who I am. I know I am home when I see two things – the Southern Cross and Rangitoto.

In te ao Māori (the Māori world view) your pepeha (introduction) connects you to the people and the places you belong. It identifies your history and the people who shaped you; and you place yourself in the natural features of your home. It takes a while to craft one that is meaningful. Mine is nearly there, but I have a bit more to do.
